No carpet cleaner? No problem!
Use a damp E-Cloth product – like a General Purpose Cloth – to clean up messes on fabrics and carpet. Test the cloth in an inconspicuous area, then place the cloth directly on the spill or stain, allowing it to soak for up to 10 minutes. If staining still remains, gently rub the area with another clean, damp part of your cloth or use your favorite E-Cloth scrubber.

Get (the cloth) dirty
Now, provided your cloth + fabric passed the spot-test with flying colors, it’s time to get the cloth dirty!
Make sure you’re starting with a wet or damp cloth (and fold the cloth, if necessary, into a pad-like product).
Place the E-Cloth product over the affected area and leave it there for up to 10 minutes to allow for the cloth’s fibers to soak up the spill or stain.
Then, using a separate, clean area of the cloth (this is why you folded it!), gently rub the cloth onto the affected area, using a varying amount of pressure, depending on the age and severity of the spill or stain.
If you’re working on a very heavily stained area, this is where a scrubber – such as our Washing Up Pad or Non-Scratch Scrubbing Pads – would come in handy. Just wet the scrubber and gently work into the affected area.
E-Cloth + water should be all you need to clean! Your couch, carpet, or favorite pair of jeans should now be stain-free and ready to roll.
If your chosen cloth is a large cloth, like our General Purpose Cloth, we recommend folding it several times into a pad-like product to ensure that you have multiple clean areas of the cloth to use.
To further refresh the fabric after cleaning with E-Cloth, feel free to quickly handwash the area with a little bit of detergent or soap to remove any lingering odors that may have been left behind from the spill or stain.
