The first difference you'll notice between e-cloth and Norwex is the price. Why is there such a big difference? Both brands use durable, premium microfiber materials. Both brands make task-specific cloths and cleaning devices. But the companies' distribution models are very, very different. Paying the multi-level marketing network of consultants that sell Norwex products requires Norwex to charge much more.

Both brands use premium microfiber materials that clean better, or as good as, chemicals and paper towels. Both brands make task-specific cloths and cleaning devices. However, the distribution model of each company is very different. Paying the network of consultants that sell Norwex products causes the price to increase exponentially. It’s great to shop for cleaning cloths and enjoy a couple glasses of complimentary chardonnay at a home party with your nearest and dearest. Witnessing the product demonstrations from your Host/Norwex Consultant prove that these cloths are the real deal. The more your friends buy, the more you buy as well! We've been there - house parties rock!

Alternatively, some enjoy some serious couch time and an online shopping marathon or patronizing the local retailer in their area. E-Cloth is available at independent retailers, local Ace Hardware stores, online at ecloth.com, and on Amazon (prime 2-day anyone?).

E-Cloth and Norwex are both high-performance cleaning brands, but does one outperform the other?

Both brands' microfiber cloths are proven to remove over 99% of bacteria from the cleaning surface.  A common misconception is that this silver agent that Norwex adds to their Envirocloth aids in the cloths' cleaning or scrubbing capability. This is untrue, as the purpose of the silver additive is to self-clean the cloth. E-Cloth has found it unnecessary to include any additives, since rinsing under warm water between uses and regular machine washing removes 99.9% of bacteria.

But does this compound give it an edge in cleaning performance? Hint: it doesn't.

To see how various cloths perform, check out this independent video by biochemist Dr. Annie Pryor who tests various household products for effectiveness:

Norwex uses silver ions (Ag+), a metal compound, in the production of its cloths. These compounds are meant to act as an antibacterial agent to self-clean the cloth from bacteria and purport to give it magical scrubbing properties.

But does this compound give it an edge in chemical-free cleaning? Hint: it doesn't. Both brands' microfiber cloths are proven to remove over 99% of bacteria from the surface.

I have sold both Norwex and e-cloth products. I know these products inside-out and backwards and swear by them. They work incredibly and last forever. The truth is, both products are wonderful and will change the way you clean but e-cloths perform as well as Norwex at a fraction of the cost.

LOVE! These pick up water wonderfully and leave the surfaces feeling clean! I have recently become a microfiber convert and these items are just as wonderful as Norwex! This is one of my favorite things to use when cleaning my kitchen and bathroom sinks and counter tops day to day!

I went to a Norwex party and left LOVING their products. Couldn't wait in fact to not only start using them, but to sell them on my own. However, the more I looked into the information and prices for everything, I wasn't so sure. That made me start looking up reviews online and trying to find something comparable. I found reviews on these cloths and ordered them to try them out. Received them today and started cleaning right out of the box. I LOVE them as well. I have the exact same Norwex product and they both work the same. Grant it, the one difference is that Norwex has the anti-bac feature. Still, not 100% sure on that part (so until I know, I will use my Norwex ones to clean my bathroom). However, I did read reviews and several places say that it is actually the microfiber itself that is anti-bac. So, now it is on to try other E-Cloth items. I will post my reviews on those as well, because if you are like me as a mom, you can't afford the Norwex prices!
