How It’s Made: Exceptional Engineering
Before an E-Cloth gets its tag, it’s a high-quality textile. We start with microfiber fabric that has both a high denier and a high ratio of grams per square meter. That’s textile-speak. It means the fibers in our products are heavier than most. And that’s just the start.
In addition to starting with an incredibly high-quality material, E-Cloth then employs a unique manufacturing method, which significantly boosts our performance compared to other microfiber cloths.
First, there's the science.
Microfiber cloths have tiny fibers with a positive charge. Dirt, on the other hand, is negatively charged. A water molecule consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, giving it magnetic-like properties. See how this works? When you add water to a microfiber cloth, it draws the grime in, traps it, and removes it from your surfaces.
For microfiber to be effective, however, the textile’s uniformly shaped fibers must first be split. Other manufacturers often accomplish this inexpensively by mechanically crushing the fabric between heavy steel rollers, creating uneven fractures where the fibers cross.
At E-Cloth, we don't take the easy route. Instead, we pass our textile through a solution that creates even voids along the length of the fiber. In combination with water, these voids will attract and hold grime. This produces better cleaning results when compared to the thick, uneven fibers that are split by mechanical processes. Our fibers are split finely and uniformly, allowing our products to clean more thoroughly and effectively.
E-Cloth products and water pull grime into the cloth's tiny voids and the cloth holds the grime in until you flush it away under the faucet. You can be confident knowing you’re left with clean surfaces where ever you use E-Cloth
Beyond the science, there's customization.
In addition to our precise, high-quality materials and superior manufacturing method, at E-Cloth, we know for certain that one size does not fit all.
That’s why we customize every product in our line specifically for the task at hand. Our Kitchen Cloth, for example, has a scrubbing corner to help you tackle pesky countertop residue. Our Classic Check Dish Towel has a bit more cotton content, so it wicks moisture faster than other products. You’ll find customizations throughout our product line because we understand that you don’t just want any product — you want the right product for every task.
Our powerful performance results from the precise method we use to create even voids within our fibers, the custom design of our products, the purity of our raw materials, the ratio of nylon to polyester within our microfiber yarn, and the unique weave or knit pattern and density of our textiles.
Effective. Exceptional Engineering. Eco-Friendly.
These cornerstone values comprise the heart of the E-Cloth family. We’re glad you’re here.
