Adjust the Device
Start by adjusting the length of the duster. You can use the handheld duster handle or attach the telescopic handle and extend it up to 5 feet in length.
When purchasing a new 2-in-1 Extendable Duster, the telescopic handle will not be attached yet. To do so, insert the long handle into the smaller handheld handle, then twist the duster handle in a clockwise direction to lock the telescopic handle in place.
You can then extend the telescopic handle by holding the aluminum (silver) section of the handle with one hand, then twist the blue part of the handle with your other hand. Follow the arrows on the blue section of the handle to loosen or tighten as needed; loosen the handle by twisting clockwise; then extend by pulling the handle outwards; tighten the handle by twisting counterclockwise.
Along with adjusting the length, you can also vary the angle of the duster head, allowing you to reach awkward spaces and tight corners. Press the small gray ‘E’ (for E-Cloth!) button near the duster head’s pivot joint, then gently move the duster head to the left or the right. You’ll hear (and see) the button lock into place, and it’ll be ready to tackle whatever dust comes its way.
Bust that dust
Now that your duster is ready to roll, it’s time to show off its skills!
Use the 2-in-1 Extendable Duster dry to remove dust and dander from nearly anywhere in the home. It’s perfect for dusting all kinds of high, low, and in-between, hard-to-reach spaces, including but not limited to ceiling fans and lights, moldings, wood cabinets or furniture, and other dusty fixtures.
We recommend using the 2-in-1 Extendable Duster at least once per week (or more often, if needed) to prevent the accumulation of dust and dander.
Refresh the duster
When the duster head becomes soiled with dust, it’s easy to refresh the fabric. It may be helpful to remove the telescopic handle before doing so.
If desired, you can start by using a handheld vacuum or vacuum hose to clear away most of the loose dust collected on the duster head.
Then, rinse the duster in the sink with warm water, and hang it to dry. If you notice that there’s still grime collected on the duster head after rinsing, you can use a little bit of hand soap to wash the duster.
Or, the duster head can also be machine washed if needed – but most E-Cloth users prefer the simplicity of handwashing the device in the sink. If you’d prefer to place the duster head in the washing machine, you can remove it from the small (handheld) handle by pressing and holding in the small gray button found right by the duster head (this is NOT the same ‘E’ button, as previously mentioned, which is located right by the pivot joint; this button is located on the opposite side of the handle). Just press and hold the gray button while gently pulling the duster head off the handle. You can then place the entire duster head in the washing machine; feel free to use a small amount of detergent and cold water. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and dryer sheets, and keep in mind that our duster may perform better when air dried.
And that’s all there is to it! Our 2-in-1 Extendable Duster is easy to use, but tough on dust.
Quick tip
Start at the top of your home and work your way down. Dust works with gravity, so remember to tackle high areas first – like your ceiling fans, the tops of shelves or cabinets, and other tall areas, then work your way down, ending with your baseboards or flooring if needed.
Quick tip
The 2-in-1 Extendable Duster pairs perfectly with our Flexi-Edge Floor & Wall Duster, which has a flat, flexible duster head that works great for dusting hardwood floors, as well as walls and baseboards.
